Many years ago, probably while we still living together and not yet married, I made a remark about her makeup (she hardly wore any).
I thought it could be done better.
Her response was to wash her face, present me with her makeup kit, sit in front of me and tell me to do better.
My attempt was atrocious. I made a clown's makeup look subtle and nuanced.
It was very funny, educational for me and I never mentioned makeup again.
(We were together for 38yrs)
