For if you like 'em small and heavy 'Khong' with its 2.85 Kg and a few decimeters in size is definitely one to have to brighten up your interior.
Only one made, Khong is a box of which rectangular and angular shapes are pushed out, pulled in and cut out. Lifted on 4 small feet on 2 different angles give the impression Khong is "walking".
Through openings its top and bottom indirect light emerges

Abandoned Berlin
La Pyramide ain’t in Berlin, but please forgive a brief excursion to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, as It’s where I was stationed for a month early last year during the Africa Cup. It’s only the second foray into abandoned structures abroad that AB has ever made (after Buzludzha in Bulgaria in 2013) and I think both are such incredible buildings that it would be simply rude to ignore them.

La Pyramide was constructed to plans from Italian architect Rinaldo Olivieri between 1969-73. It was one of the first skyscrapers ever built in Ivory Coast’s commercial capital, supposed to herald a new era as part of the Ivorian “economic miracle” of the 1970s. It was abandoned during an economic downturn in the 1980s and has deteriorated since. Locals sheltered here from fighting during the civil wars – not all that long ago.

I have no idea what type of building - office, substation, bunker, warehouse, luxury apartments - is hidden behind this unusual façade. A strange honeycomb structure that looks mysterious, forbidding and perhaps a little cruel. You can see in detail that there are slits on the lower edge of some of the honeycombs, in between there are even windows. What is supposed to penetrate through them?
