Illustrations for the board game Yõkai Quest - Mystic Forest. A game set in a fantastic feudal Japan, in which the heroes must find a remedy for the corruption that plagues the sacred forest.

Just watched Pixar's #Elemental and, honestly, this is another movie that I think was judged harshly unfairly when it released. I think there are definitely some movies that haven't landed from Disney recently, most likely because of the pandemic and the Bob Chapek Disney+ push, but some of these are actually great and sweet and don't make any sense why they didn't do better.

According to the 16th-century Swiss alchemist Paracelsus, each of the four elements has its own elemental spirit. The water elemental is a nymph or undine. It breathes and walks through water like a human through air, and is the elemental closest to a human in height.

The Swiss alchemist Paracelsus claimed that each element has an elemental spirit. He dubbed the fire elemental a "salamander" or "volcanid," and said that it can swim through fire like a human swims through water. The salamander is related to the will-o'-the-wisp.
