Flori Pierri<p>Hey HSS folks! If you know Rachel Wallner, tell her that her laptop is in the Astor room! <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HSS22</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HSS2022" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HSS2022</span></a> I wouldn’t want her to leave Chicago without it!</p>

Patrick McCray<p>A student I'm advising - Eun-Joo Ahn (soon to be Dr. Ahn) - has her first history of science article out ...check it out. It's about labor, women workers, <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/astronomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astronomy</span></a> and Mount Wilson Observatory<br><a href="https://online.ucpress.edu/hsns/article-abstract/52/5/555/194655/Finding-the-Invisible-Workers-in-AstronomyThe-Case?redirectedFrom=fulltext" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">online.ucpress.edu/hsns/articl</span><span class="invisible">e-abstract/52/5/555/194655/Finding-the-Invisible-Workers-in-AstronomyThe-Case?redirectedFrom=fulltext</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/HistSTM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HistSTM</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/HSS2022" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HSS2022</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HSS22</span></a></p>
Flori Pierri<p>Another day, another (giant) armadillo (ancestor) from a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HSS22</span></a> trip to the @FieldMuseum@twitter.com.</p><p>Or, I hope that’s what’ll show up. I’m getting▪️▪️ where photos should be.</p><p>I guess twitter was fun while it lasted. Follow me at <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@armadillos" class="u-url mention">@<span>armadillos</span></a></span> for more armadillo sightings!</p>
Jaipreet Virdi<p>Are you at @hssonline@twitter.com? </p><p>Come on down to the Poster Session and treat yourself to our Donut Wall! </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HSS22</span></a></p>
Flori Pierri<p>I&#39;m at the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HSS22</span></a> CALM (Collections, Archives, Libraries, and Museums) Caucus business meeting, and we&#39;ve been tasked with thinking of HOS-adjacent museums etc. to visit in the Portland area. Sounds like a good crowdsourcing opportunity. @ingrid_rocket@twitter.com, do you have any ideas?</p>

I'm assuming you'd all be using the same handle here as per the birdsite... If there's a different one, someone please tell me (once you all wake up later today, obviously...)!</p>
J. D. Hamblin<p>I am having a little bit of FOMO for <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/HSS22" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HSS22</span></a> but mostly just miss seeing people who care about historical <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/sts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sts</span></a>, seeing old friends and meeting new people. Hope people will use the conference hashtag on mastodon not just twitter but we'll see!</p>
J. D. Hamblin<p>I already introduced myself generally but also I'm one of the topical editors for the Journal of the History of Biology, and my/our ambition with the collection "Environment and the Life Sciences" is to bring <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/histstm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>histstm</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/envhist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>envhist</span></a> together. Submissions on these topics are routed to me for for the peer review process, and I'd be happy to answer questions, either on here (if it's general) or via my email. Mainly I want to alert you to it and welcome submissions! <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/sts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sts</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/histodons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>histodons</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.cloud/tags/hss22" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hss22</span></a></p>
