Preparing to glue my plotter housing, which have some none-square angles. I'm using bits and peaces from the scrap box, glue is going to be bio epoxy. This is the final housing I hope, after three cardboard and one plywood models.
I'm really an #amateur at this, but I do have #fun. Huge thanks to my friend Jesper, who has the skills and tools (like a tablesaw and such) to prepare the pieces ❤️

(The plotter housing will sit on the top of the boat roof, protecting the chart plotter and it's wiring)

For my next #woodworking project, I have to make several half lap joints. As always, there are several ways to skin a cat. Even though I used to make them with handtools only in the past, e.g. on my workbench build lumberjocks.com/showcase/a-wor, I now decided, to use my #router and this #jig by Stumpy Nubs youtube.com/watch?v=WIFHz9vvou which seems to work on ends as well as on cross laps.

"Haste to the Wedding" is a #jig tune in the #English, #Scottish and #Irish musical traditions. The tune originated during the 18th century, although its original composer is not certain. Written in the standard 8-bar AABB format of Gaelic music, it is traditionally performed on the #fiddle, but is a simple tune which can be performed on a variety of instruments, and is frequently adapted for #sessionMusic. The tune has also been used as the basis for songs.

Another half forgotten thing done: Crosscut sled for the table saw.

Some floorboard offcuts, two carefully whittled strips for the tracks, a bit of glue to keep them in place before also screwing them on. And two bridges, of course.

Need to find an old candle to rub on the bottom, but test cuts work well enough already.

Not wiggling, but we'll see how the wooden strips do over time - the workshop is a bit drafty and they might shrink/expand.

*ROARING LAUGHTER*

I hear the song "Wellerman" playing so I go looking for whose playing it because I like them already. I expect to find someone of Celtic origin but instead find a Korean doing a jig.

I grin, he grins, and we both belt out the remaining lyrics doing a jig together. (That garnered some odd looks from passers by.)
