When Police raid a gang pad you expect they'll find drugs and/or guns. But a raid in Dunedin today was looking for... crayfish.

Yep. Almost four tonnes of crays have been stolen from a commercial business over 12 months and it looks like the King Cobra gang were involved.

Their gang pad was restrained by police who describe the enterprise as “a large-scale, organised crayfish crime ring”.

The story doesn't say if they were wearing patches.

Well…not ”on the run” per se… seeing as it is snake. 🐍

The staff makes clear that it is very venomous…and big.
They also say that this is something that really shouldnt happen….at all.
