Как добавить или расширить диск в Linux

На виртуалке кончилось место ? Не беда, у нас виртуалка - увеличим диск. Не хотим размещать файлы на основном диске ? Не беда у нас виртуалка - добавим новый диск. Всё бы ни чего, но виртуалка сама железо не настроит, в том смысле что конечно виртуальная машина предоставляет доступ к железу, но ресурсы этого железа программам предоставляет не виртуалка, ресурсы предоставляет операционная система. Эта инструкция будет о том как настроить операционную систему Ubunta, для управления новым железом (в нашем случае дисковым пространством).

Mir ist eine externe Festplatte ausgestiegen (ja gibt #backup, aber nicht ganz aktuell), #lsblk und #lsusb erkennen sie nicht.

Irgendwelche Drehgeräusche macht sie noch, eine Status-LED leuchtet, was immer das heisst.

Was mache ich für einen Versuch, sie noch ggf. auszulesen?

Quick tip on lsblk to list block devices:

If you run lsblk with no arguments it'll give you some basic information about size and mountpoints. But lsblk can give you a lot more information than this.

Using -O you get all information but this will look garbled unless your terminal is gigantic and very zoomed out, but it'll give you all the columns.

Knowing all the columns you can then pick some you're interested in using the -o flag

New 'sysutils/lsblk' version 3.8 will soon hit the #FreeBSD Ports.

Currently running extended SMART test on the internal HDD. #KDE desktop not working under X11, yet it's fine under #Wayland. Saw some garbage characters displayed on the #lsblk command when system booted into a terminal screen. If drive passes extended test, will reinstall #Debian.
