· #M1 fährt nur zwischen U Eberswalder Straße und Rosenthal Nord bzw. Schillerstraße.
· #M13 fährt nur zwischen Prenzlauer Allee/Ostseestraße und Virchow-Klinikum.

Verwundert rieb ich mir am Dienstag die Augen: Auf dem Mittelstreifen der Seestraße war wieder etwas Gelbes zu sehen. Sieht so ein Gleisbaufahrzeug aus? Nein, es war tatsächlich eine moderne Straßenbahn der Bauart Flexity. Entgegen allen Unkenrufen, dass die Strecke durch den Wedding wegen des Wasserrohrbruchs für lange Zeit gesperrt sein würde, zeigt sich hier: Die BVG kann auch schnell! Wir im Wedding sagen Danke.

Der Wedding steht mal wieder still – zumindest, wenn es um den öffentlichen Nahverkehr geht. An den kommenden Wochenenden wird der Stadtteil noch mehr vom Schienenverkehr abgekoppelt. Zahlreiche Bauarbeiten treffen aufeinander, sodass für viele Menschen der Weg zur Arbeit oder Freizeitaktivitäten zu einer regelrechten Tortur wird. Insbesondere die Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) und die Deutsche Bahn sorgen durch ihre Projekte für massive Einschränkungen.

Bestenfalls in ein paar Tagen, wenn es frostfrei bleibt, könne die #BVG #Tram #M13 & 50 wieder bis zum Virchow-Klinikum fahren, so die Einschätzung vor Ort nach dem #Rohrbruch an #b3112. Die Stromversorgung ist gekappt, das Gleis unterspült.
Gerade wurde die #Tram #M13 aus dem stromlosen Abschnitt in der #Seestraße evakuiert. Grund ist der Wasser-Rohrbruch an #B3112

Dass es bei der U‑Bahn gerade nicht rund läuft, ist schlimm genug. Dass viele normale Stadtbusse wegen fehlender Busspuren im Stau stehen, geschenkt. Aber wie chaotisch es ist, wenn die wichtigste Straßenbahn im Berliner Norden für über zwei Monate gesperrt wird, das toppt alles.

I haven't watched the #nightsky for a long time - until yesterday!
Did you know you can see the #M13 Cluster with 10x50 binoculars from a dark spot in a small city?
I even could make out #M27 when my eyes got used to the dark.
The monopod+pistolgrip really is a gamechanger for binocular astronomy.
Im so thankful for the warm summernights, clear skies and my binos :)
Well, it was a fun exercise but: More (and better) data please!
A few issues I encountered:
- 6 sub-exposures are not enough for statistics to do their magic (outlier rejection). Result, a "musktrace" (satellite trace) remains visible to the right of the cluster.
- 6 sub-exposures are also not enough for drizzle integration with adequate coverage. I ended up using the 2x drizzled master as luminance, combined with the blurred 2x upscaled master (to match the 2x drizzled luminance) for color.
- I had to dim the background more than I would usually do to reduce the impact of the large scale noise.
