Going through this old project, I’m surprised how quickly the photography improved. This was just a few months after having started.

Cherries. Instant tapioca. Well-baked crust. Even the 80s hair-band can’t ruin a good cherry pie.

Pie baking is definitely going back onto the project list. Thankfully there’ll be more friends and family around to share the calories.

Bit of a twofer post—Atlantic Beach Pie and the pie it paid homage to, the Lemon Milk Pie. Both originate from North Carolina, and feature a filling of sweetened condensed milk, sugar, eggs, and lemon juice. But one’s in a Ritz cracker crust, the other a saltine crust. And whipped cream vs a meringue topping.

It’s the same as a Key Lime Pie, but made with lemons.

Farmer’s market, got some “cheesy taco” flavored popcorn and a chocolate/ mocha whoopie pie. That’s still in the fridge bc I found the cup of Mister Softee was just five bucks. Seen dripping down my hand in this quick photo. I made a trench or moat to buy time to eat the tip in the sun.
