The truly important reason to try the #positron R/Python editor is that it can work in parallel with another R session open in #RStudio for a different project...

Also amazed by the #Pluto notebook for #Julia scientific work. One of its nice features is that the associated file is in text format and the code can be easily extracted. Not yet ready to switch from #ggplot to #VegaLite though.

Have any users of #RStudio been running into an issue where the up-arrow in the console to recall the last-entered line of code isn't working properly? I have the latest version installed, and it is quite borked in this one respect.

I'm going back to install previous versions in an attempt to fix it, but if someone has any other guidance, I'd love to hear it.

Still trying to troubleshoot the brute force installation of #R and #RStudio by the IT department. They can't and won't help, but I'm not an admin, so my hands are tied in terms of what I can do with other people's laptops.

I just want to teach people basic things about using R, but there are so many barriers coming from IT.

Working with text in ggplot2 plots can be a mess, especially when dealing with overlapping labels, busy backgrounds, or the need for custom formatting. Thankfully, several powerful ggplot2 extensions make text manipulation and annotation much easier and more effective.

With these tools, text in ggplot2 becomes much more manageable and visually appealing.

Quick #RStats #RStudio #Quarto question: With the latest version of RStudio, is it still necessary to download quarto separately or is it included?

Disclaimer: I read the websites of both and it wasn't clear to me, possibly due to a lack of deductive skills. I could find out myself by uninstalling and reainstalling, but I'm too lazy to mess up my setup.

Question for #rstats #Rstudio users. Whenever I click render the viewer or presentation tab (I have mine in the default lower right) always expands up to hide the upper right set of tabs (environment, history, etc.). Is there a way to not have that expand?
