Iemand enig idee wat voor 'n dit is? Gevonden in huis, vandaag (Januari), in de buurt van de voordeur.
Kan het een kledingmotje, houtworm of iets anders schadelijks voor m'n huis zijn, of is het een overwinterend vlindertje of motje?

Klein donkerbruin rupsje op arm. Glad, vrij glanzend. De stompe kop is enigszins roodbruin. Het lijf is bijna zwart, en is vooral bruin waar het licht er een beetje doorheen valt.

I went for a walk yesterday in Zeeland and saw LOTS of caterpillars on the road at a certain point. Luckily there was little to no car traffic there. Most were black with spikes, those will become peacock butterflies (Aglais io, 🇳🇱 dagpauwoog). But I also saw a HUGE green one of the hawk-moth (Agrius convolvuli, 🇳🇱 windepijlstaart). Apparently those are rare in NL.

What is a good hashtag for insect identification requests?

I found this fluffy black / brown caterpillar & I'm not sure what it is. The closest I could find is Arctia caja, but the underbelly doesn't really look red at all in real life, looks much browner than in the pic 🤔 We are in The Netherlands.
