It has become useless to me.</p>
Jim Garrett<p>I just scanned a document using my GNU/Linux scanning software of choice: XSane.</p><p>When I started with GNU/Linux in 2000, I also used XSane.</p><p>I think it might be the same version: 0.999.</p><p>How software should work: No nonsense, options all laid out, does exactly what you tell it, no mistakes in 25 years. Only document feed is working, flatbed gives the error "feed is empty".<br>2. (more important) When I perform a preview scan, everything is fine, but when scanning, the colors are false. Magenta turns green and things like that. You can read it, but it would be cool, if the colors were fine.<br>Canon has no support for Linux 😞</p>

Alex<p>Just finished <a href="https://ieji.de/tags/scanning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>scanning</span></a> a big pile of old documents. 2025 is gonna be the year of <a href="https://ieji.de/tags/paperless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>paperless</span></a>!<br>I've been struggling with bunches of notes, piles of letters, important documents, etc filling up drawers and boxes and folders for my entire life. After many attempts of systems, both physical and digital, I'm finally finding success with paperless-ngx and a nice duplex scanner by brother.</p><p>Hot damn, getting rid of this junk is so easy now! <br>Just one question: is that worth keeping? Then upload!</p>
