Time to show off some more #Goodyearwelt shoes. It'd be nice if the #Fediverse could have a more active #boots community, as #Reddit had.

These desert boots are from a German brand producing #eco shoes: #EKN. The leather is nice and thick and the soles are comfy. You can even order replacement soles on their website!

I think they're quite stylish and they fit nicely with many of my outfits.

I ran with #Alphafly3 today again. Before the run I checked the soles of the shoes: the right shoe (the left one in the pic) is clearly worn out more than the left, and the outside of the sole was worn out more than the inside.

This prompted me into doing two things in today's run: planting my left foot more firmly when landing, and shifting weight to the inside of the right foot when landing on it. No soreness!

I'll still need to root-cause this.

I think I've failed the presumed path of aging in that the older I get, the *less* conservative I get, and I get less and less interested in all those supposed goals beat into my American head by decades of television, in that luxuries, status, wealth, and fame are all far less interesting to me than a good cup of tea, a decent baguette, a nice walk every day, a serviceable bicycle, and shoes that fit well.
