Heh. Just back from lace retreat. As librarian, my job is to haul the books. I was laughing at having 500 years of lace history in my trunk on the #EV board.

Someone described this as "tetris level" packing. I guess it is.

Lacemakers have transferable skills.

My blue gray Subaru Solterra getting its first Level 3 charge at an EV charger in Rhode Island. My trunk is open and shows a bunch of plastic bins full of books and a few stray books that are too big for the boxes around.

Sky is blue, trees are still bare in late March. It is an Electrify America charging station and my car is hooked to the charger.

Our lace library consists of about 500-600 lace books. Some are just pamphlets or small books, they aren't all big hardcovers. But here is the full set of books in plastic bins across the large stage at our retreat location. Most bins are stacked double because there's not enough room on the stage to have them all out. Some of the bigger bins are too heavy for that and are just single height.

These were all in the back of my car.

I see some similarities to a #Tatting pattern, with the snow patches as "rings", the branches as "chains" and the leaves as *wildly* different "picots".
