Was man nicht alles entdeckt, nachdem einem mal wieder ein Matrix-Konto aufgrund spontaner Serverabschaltung flöten gegangen ist: Das Ministerium für Schule und Bildung #NRW bietet eine Matrix-Instanz für Schulen unter dem Namen LOGINEO NRW Messenger, die @tuchemnitz unter dem Namen TUCmessages für alle Angehörigen der Hochschule, die #LMU ganz unspektakulär als LMU-Matrix. Bei der @unijena stimmt mit der deutschsprachige Version von Element offenbar etwas nicht und bei der @TU hat mensch sich die Namensgebung komplett erspart.
Das #DRK in #Hannover setzt auch auf Matrix - mich würde interessieren, ob unter dem Radar oder im Alltag. Auch der #NABU bietet den Dienst für seine Mitglieder an.
Ansonsten: Matrix läuft hierauch bei der #HSZG in #Zittau, bei der #TUWien als TUmatrix, bei der #UniGraz als uniCHAT, bei der #ETHzürich hier, bei der #THM Gießen hier, bei der #UniFrankfurt hier, der #UniMarburg hier, der #TUM München hier, der #HUBerlin hier, der #UniGöttingen hier. Erstaunlich, was alles möglich ist, ohne dass es auch nur eine taugliche App für Otilda-Normalverbraucher:in gibt.

I really enjoy #TryHackMe but their time destinations are sometimes off.

E.g. the Redline room is estimated to take 30 min but the tasks require you to load several datasets. Each load takes between 10 and 20 minutes 🤔

Additional i manager too mes yo the machine and/or datasets, such that i had to reset the machine twice

Last year around this time, I did the #THM #AdventOfCyber event and recorded myself going through the various tasks to highlight the myriad #accessibility problems I was sure to encounter, because 2022's event was disastrous where this was concerned. Let's just say I was not disappointed, but I got some engagement from #tryHackMe staff during and after the event about possible improvements. Some improvements were even made during the event!
I'm looking at the initial tasks now and see that nothing whatsoever was learned from this experience. No #altText on screenshots, connection cards, we're back to square 0. And I'll be recording every gory detail once more this year, likely not willing to be as nice as I was last year. For those who are new, I am a fully blind #developer, #hacker and #contentCreator focusing on #accessible #gaming and #tech, in general. One of my Twitch channels is called IC_Null.
The IC_Null streams were a direct sequel of sorts to my #tryHackMe #adventOfCyber 2023 runthrough where we looked at #accessibility of their material from a fully #blind perspective. I gave them a bunch of feedback and tips and some of it was even acknowledged, multiple times. So you can imagine that when I heard they have a brand new #cybersecurity 101 path, I decided to stream my initial impressions to this, as well. Did they learn from their mistakes?
