I grew up with Tintin's books and I've been rediscovering them with my kids. And it's hard. They're not really as good as I remembered. They're full of plot holes, implausible situations and repetitive tropes. But really, the one thing that makes me roll my eyes is the idea that a young journalist could be confident enough to just fly on a whim to a hostile country and go rescue their friends. #tintin
