I always loved “Plebs”, and if you haven’t seen the show you’re really missing a treat. I can only describe it as “Blackadder” set in Ancient Rome. Grumio (the slave) is a Roman Baldrick, and uses a crazy kind of logic which occasionally makes sense. When a neighbour’s cat swallows his lottery ticket, Grumio discusses the chance of winning with his master Marcus. The 50/50 line never fails to make me laugh!!

Can't say too much at present but during the early summer my friend, Felipe and I took part in the BBC series "Amanda and Alan's Spanish Job". This TV series will be screened weekly from 24th January. It features UK celebrities, Amanda Holden and Alan Carr, restoring an old property in the town of Moclin, just north of Granada.

More details will be released about our part in this series in due course.

This isn't a perfect example, but back in 2008 the series "Life After People" had both UK and US narration for the same show, which gives an interesting example of how different a tone can be set just by the soundtrack - Here's the first minute in each language of S02E07.

I was talking to somebody a few days ago about how "The Curse of Oak Island" would be an entirely different show in the UK - Each season would be cut down to 2 or 3 episodes, there would be much more emphasis on the archaeology and the technology, and the narration wouldn't be anything like as dramatic and irritating.
