I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the National Hand Rolling Competition held in Fujieda, Shizuoka Prefecture, where the Wazuka Hand Rolling Preservation Society participated with two teams. The competition is an opportunity to showcase the hand rolling skills and connect with others farmers who share the same passion.

You can read about my experience in the blog.

Shikoku is one of my favourite places in Japan and this trip to Kamikatsu in the Tokushima prefecture make it even better than before. Kamikatsu is a beautiful village in the mountains of Shikoku. You you ever need a break from the concrete jungles of the big cities this is a great spot to explore.

The tea tradition of the area, Awabancha will surely surprise you.

For this time I wrote some notes I could find on general knowledge of the region and some of its most known producing areas. And added some important locations instead of historical events (need more time for those).
