My #sister and I couldn't reach our #mother by phone. My godmother knocked on her door in the afternoon but she didn't open. In the end, we called the home care for an extra visit. I am so sorry. I hope she fully recovers. My mother wears an alarm device as well. It is unsettling that your mother's did not go off.

@KissAnne Up until recently I was in a similar situation so I'm very sympathetic.
@isotope239 I'm sorry you have gone through the same. My father was just taken into a care home in July. He has Alzheimer's. Oh I have gone through a lot.
@KissAnne My dad also has Alzheimer's and my brother and I live a 7 hour drive away from the little rural town where he was living. We managed to barely keep him going over the past couple of years with home health aides but finally got him into what's called memory care here in the US just a few weeks ago. It's always a very difficult and stressful situation.
@isotope239 I feel you. We have a similar situation. I live 320 km (198 miles) away from my little home village where my parents live.
