@Mastodon I would like the outreach to say "fediverse" and not always "Mastodon" (except of course when talking about the software, not the network).

@bortzmeyer @Mastodon
So, the general consensus seems to be that Mastodon is to confusing with multiple servers. So, let's add another layer of confusion and introduce the Fediverse.

@snaggen @Mastodon Yes, people are confused by the fact there are several programs. We should all use the same software. (For editors, it will be emacs, of course. What else?)

@bortzmeyer @Mastodon
The Fediverse is not just different programs, Lemmy and the thrediverse is fundamentally different than Mastodon in function. They are still both part of the Fediverse.

@snaggen @Mastodon Even the #Element people did not dare to name the network from their software.

@bortzmeyer @Mastodon They don't represent the fediverse though, they just represent the Mastodon project. Wouldn't it be worse if the Mastodon team was misrepresenting themselves as the fediverse as a whole?

@Mastodon A toot (or post, see below) quoting function would be neat.

edit: Of course 'toot' might seem a bit restrictive to users of other Fediverse branches but I hope it's clear what I meant.

@Leepvogel @ElBeeToots @Mastodon I think so three. Also, the abilities to create, edit and manage lists, along with content filters would be welcome additions. Features like this is what keep some third party apps as my main drivers.

@DigitalGemini Hmmm ... i think I already use lists that are created. @ElBeeToots @Mastodon

@Mastodon Thanks for everything you do! ❤️

@Mastodon I would like to see a bigger text field for writing posts on the Mastodon web interface. It's currently a small box on the left side of the web page.
