recursively rephrasing a sentence by replacing small subtrees with semantically-similar subtrees of the same dependency type...
succinct poetic rephrasing by replacing subtrees with semantically similar subtrees of shorter length. using project gutenberg poetry as a corpus, this works really well. going the opposite direction (i.e., finding longer subtrees) doesn't work as well, I think because spacy's parser just isn't satisfyingly accurate on poetry?
@aparrish "The young woman's designs in putting me to a too horrible for human eyes to behold death most earnestly entreat" is almost a great sentence. This is cool! Any resource I can check out that's related?
@mmmchicken still a work in progress :)
@aparrish Oh man, I LOVE the shorter length stuff. I've really gotta get back into computational poetry; my (very limited) experience/knowledge ended with using other people's programs, but I really should actually learn some of the nuts & bolts.
