Now, when you ssh into a server set up with Domain¹, you get a friendly greeting (and a friendly environment, with fish shell and other niceties).
I’ll be evolving this as I go (and Domain isn’t ready for use yet) but I want the whole experience to be equally delightful even though the goal is that you shouldn’t have to ssh into your Small Web place unless you’re either an enthusiast or something has gone horribly wrong :)
@aral I’m going to be perfectly honest I have considered installing Kitten just to see that shell on my laptop
@box464 Haha, that’s the actual server shell from a deployed server but, yes, Kitten’s own shell (launched with kitten shell) does look similar :)
And you can install it in the next 10 seconds via https://kitten.small-web.org if you like ;)
(Ah that blue on black does not look like it has enough contrast. Which terminal/colour scheme? I wonder how best I can provide an accessible and consistent colour palette across terminal apps or if that’s even possible. Will make a note to look into it further.)
@aral Oh it’s an old M1 Macbook air using iTerm2 with no tweaks. I’m traveling so this isn’t my normal config.
