The FTC’s settlement that Facebook stop using security phone numbers for targeted advertising is, hopefully, a first step toward rebuilding users’ trust in security features.
But it didn’t go far enough.

@eff The FTC/Facebook settlement is meaningless. Facebook will ignore it, as always. You don't trust settlements, you trust people, and only a fool would trust the people at Facebook.
