men's deodorant comes in four different smells
• petrol
• housefire
• off meat
• glue
@envgen maybe those are just a US thing, tho. 🤷
@gdkar what does sports even smell of. sweat, changing rooms, mud, mildewy showers???
@luluberlu @gdkar *guitar riff*
@envgen iiiii can't really describe it in words. 😅
@sickasfrick @er1n @gdkar squirthan
@envgen on further consideration, i'm not sure if this is actually "men's deoderant" or, rather, "sports deoderant that, like, you could probably wear if you're maybe a man i guess." 🤷
@envgen i got this for christmas
@hirojin is that cardboard deodorant
@envgen nah, it's naked deodorant https://nuud.care/en/
this is only partially a joke, when i was unemployed i did market research questionnaires for beer money and one of the products was a new range of ""upmarket"" lynx deodorants, and some of the fragrances they wanted feedback on were, and i shit you not,
• wood
• glue
• rubber
• whiskey
• smoke
@envgen the others i can almost understand... but rubber and glue? the fragrance after a fetish romp
@candle i think it was specifically "tyres"
@envgen please make me smell like a mechanic who does woodcraft on weekends
@PatchworkMind @envgen lynx knew their target market apparently
@envgen I'd love to smell like burning wood
@envgen I have a discomforting memory of Lynx shower gel coming with a sponge marketed as a "manwasher" and that really stalled my train of thought as I struggled to process this information.
@envgen those are all whiskey
@envgen i like to smell glue
@envgen 😂 😂 what about sweat and gunpowder?
@envgen u forgot gun
... you mean instead of a fancy expensive deodorant stick, I could just have been using a regular old glue stick under my arms all this time?
Sold! ;D
... actually, if it weren't for the, you know, stickiness of it... the *purple* glue sticks some of us had back in school actually did smell pretty good.
Maybe I'm on to something here... 🤔
@envgen Funny, I always perceived them as
• death
• death
• death
• mild chemical smell but won’t kill me
and introducing a new fragrance:
• even sweatier
