I used to enjoy #Shelfari a lot. Its bookshelves, reviews, sharing and networking etc made it a worthwhile experience. #Amazon bought it. Then there was #Goodreads. Amazon bought it.

I haven't logged into it ever since. I should probably delete my account as I no longer share anything on it. Who can share your reading habits with such a monstrous, freedom hating and spying entity? Readers' freedom will be restored only when these companies are nationalized and transformed into public utilities.
