@peterrenshaw Calling garbage-in-garbage-out programs "AI," and calling their garbage output "hallucinations" just feeds into the problem. Shitty programs give shitty results. Naïve suspension of disbelief lets conmen rake in billions on shitty programs that give shitty results.
@phaedral yeah I’m not impressed with the application side of AI/ChatGPT so far.
For all the CS brain power being thrown at chat applications, you’d think numerical calcs would be shelled out to a numerical package to give correct results.
AI as I’ve seen released in tools, parses text and then fails miserably with numbers.
