Like I was two years ago, when I last had a blood test, I’m “pre-diabetic”, so I’m going to see if I can cut out sugar from my diet and go for a half hour walk every day. You may try substitute refined sugar with xylitol which barely raises blood sugar and is recommened for people with cardiometabolic diseases. It helped me not only to break my sugar addiction but also my craving for carbohydrates with a high glycemic index (pasta etc.).

Downside: There has been a recent study connecting xylitol with long-term cardiovascular health risks. nih.gov/news-events/nih-resear

But used a limited period of time xylitol may help wean ppl from sugar and "bad" carbs.
