Of Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky, Mastodon/Fediverse is still the best for me. It's where I get better engagement, more thoughtful posts and replies, more authenticity, fewer trolls, more global reach, and better overall UX. I'm intending to be somewhat active on all three platforms, but I'm going to favor the Fediverse for the time being.

@scottjenson @torgo Same here, as well. Granted, I have more followers here, but I get so much better quality engagement here.

@torgo @tchambers

Home is here, but I’d love for the AP-AT bridge to become standard both ways so we can simply choose how we prefer our content (such as clients) rather than have to choose between platforms.

@Bam @torgo @tchambers There’s nothing preventing Bluesky from implementing ActivityPub, except maybe investment interests.

@ramsey

We can debate why or why not, but the point is there’s a great tool already to make them work together.

@torgo @tchambers

@Bam @torgo @tchambers I have nothing against Bridgy Fed. It works well!

@JesseSkinner @torgo @tchambers

Not really. Because you have to subscribe to the bridge to use it, which is the point I’m making.

I like mastodon because I can be myself here and no family members are tagging me in shit I have no interest in. I don't think they know what the Fediverse is, and since I changed my name, odds are they wouldn't be able to find me (my real name is far too easy to find, so I put my other name in).

I like Mastodon because it's not America-centric in thought and structure like a lot of the mainstream social media seems to be. I can see viewpoints from all over the world in different languages and clusters, and use Deepl translate to figure out what they're talking about (unless it's sports because the pics make those easy, and I'm not big into futbol--hee hee).

It's neat to see views from around the world on a variety of topics, including little things that affect others' daily lives where they're at. It doesn't have to be ALL about global issues, & I love that.
