We have one person who explains their diff, then carefully but briefly explains their reasoning, then explains it again in detail, with context and notes about past and future development efforts where appropriate, and some weeks I only barely resist sending flowers.

I noticed that commit messages in the linux kernel tend to be very long in relation to other projects. They even include statistics and test results in it, and I think that's very commendable.

@daniel_bohrer @pamela @temporal but they still don't include the CVE id, if it is a vulnerability they are fixing... Makes finding out if a certain patch release includes the fix for a given CVE a pain in my neck :-(
