@kat @Mastodon most of the stuff past rc1 is just backend stuff, it doesn't add anything too new

@Mastodon Can we have that @CobaltVelvet? We have been good girls, I promise :3.

@kropot I usually wait 24 hours before starting updates of new releases, to see if no major issues are report.
So, I should start working on it later today or tomorrow.
Notice this release is a major upgrade and I need to do some testing to see how long it will take.
I will announce it later.

@Mastodon @Gargron I just got some DB errors on this update, but it seem's I'm on v2.5.0 anyway. Any ideas why ? (Non docker installation)

@seb_vallee @Mastodon Oof. That looks like a years-old version of postgresql! You need at least 9.5

@seb_vallee @Mastodon That is strange. Are you sure you don't have multiple pg versions installed and Mastodon is using something older? `ls /etc/postgresql`

@Gargron @Mastodon Oh shit, you were right, it seems I have an old 9.4 still running there...

@seb_vallee @Mastodon Carefully follow postgresql upgrade instructions! I've never done it myself (have been using 9.6 from the start)

@Gargron @Mastodon The fun part is : I already have 9.6 running in parallel !

Ça vient de m’arriver. Il faut que tu upgrades ton Postgre

@dam_alex Ca a été fait entre temps (avec une restore de backup, et la perte d'une journée, du coup). Merci ;)

@Mastodon Just updated and looks great!! 👍 👍
PS: Weirdly, I had to manually clear out my public/packs directory to fix some old CSS that was stuck there -- the profile view, i.e. server.domain/(at)user looked all messed up. Now all is good. 😀

@Mastodon Ohhhh! Those are some sexy looking updates right there!

Hoping this fixed the bug where often profiles say that they have more posts than they show... (or is that just about non public toots?)

@Mastodon Thanks for a nice upgrade. Took < 5 minutes, looks great.

@Mastodon hopefully this will reduce the random follows by some bot trying to fill out some far out instance

@hiemstra @Mastodon you can if you use 'git fetch' (instead of git pull) iirc

@mdbraber @Mastodon I hoped someone would answer with: "simply do a 'git pull' ", but now I'm confused... 😕

@hiemstra see the upgrade notes for 2.4.5: "Because this is a backport, it is not available with git pull. Use git fetch && git checkout v2.4.5 ( - but maybe now with 2.5.0 you can use pull again also, not sure
