> #Ecosia is now taking concrete steps to facilitate climate activism. Going forward, all Ecosia employees can engage in climate activism during weekdays – they don’t need to take time off or call in sick. If they incur legal problems, Ecosia will support them and cover any related fees. If reasonable, nonviolent civil disobedience should lead any Ecosia employee to be incarcerated, their time behind bars will be counted as work time.
Facial recognition once again shows its limits: abuse, illegality, arrest of innocent people...
As long as this practice is not regulated, there will be abuses.
When they first taught us the alphabet in school, it seemed like an incredibly daunting task to me. There were so many different letters, how would I learn them all?!
Then they introduced us to math and told us there's an infinite amount of numbers. I just thought "that's it, no way I'll learn them all, I'll have to become a famous singer".
Turned out I suck at singing. And I still don't know all the numbers. Pretty good with the alphabet, though.

Great Blog Series by @blacklight447. Must read for anyone has little or no idea about how tor works and pros and cons of VPNs.
Although I personally prefer @protonvpn when speed is my major concern. And @torproject (with Bridges) when anonymity is my concern. I have to rely on it regularly because my government 🇧🇩 reguarly censor foreign media & persecute local journalists. These solutions give me freedom.
I just programmed an open source tool called semiphemeral that lets you automatically delete your old tweets, except for the ones you want to keep. Would be cool to add support for making your toots semiphemeral too, one day... https://micahflee.com/2019/06/semiphemeral-automatically-delete-your-old-tweets-except-for-the-ones-you-want-to-keep/

An in-depth paper (18 p.) on the influence of "Corporate Editors in the Evolving Landscape of #OpenStreetMap".
While corporations currently have a major impact on road networks, non-corporate mappers edit more buildings and points-of-interest representing the majority of all edits, on average.
