Noob's Guide to Linux Gaming
There was recently a lot of news about DNS over HTTPS. Some people say it's bad for privacy because it centralizes the DNS requests on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9.
Time to change that and run your own DNS over HTTPS server. I spend some time today in writing, documenting and arranging a small container setup to allow you to do this:
I'd like to have your feedback regarding this redesign, especially on the content/copy/accessibility/bugs.
The new version lives at https://next.funkwhale.audio/
You can share the feedback here or on https://governance.funkwhale.audio/d/zVW3YaeF/funkwhale-audio-redesign.
Thank you so much for your help, boosts appreciated!
(don't mind the cat images, some illustrations are coming to replace those ;)
MastoDev, harassment bullshit Show more
For those of you who are interested, the lead dev Gargron made a change to the mastodon code that lets people who have been blocked know that they have been blocked.
This is one of the very very basic things that you don't do if you give a fuck about preventing harassment because it lets the harasser know that they had an effect and that they need a new avenue of harassment.
There is no benefit to anyone other than harassers here.
F-Droid will soon have stricter requirements for apps showing up in the "Latest" tab in the F-Droid app:
If you are an app developer consider adding good descriptions, screenshots and a "Whats's New" section for your app.
If you notice that your favourite app doesn't fulfill all these requirements consider notifying the app's developers or just help them with a merge request adding the missing info to the source repo.
We have started to add support for @letsencrypt to Tutanota. This will make using Tutanota with your own domain (whitelabel) much easier as Tutanota will automatically get and update certificates for you. 😀
AMP for email is bad. Google is bringing AMP to Gmail not for your convenience or to increase speed, but to change your mailbox into a platform for marketers so that the ads jump into your face. 😤 Tutanota will not support AMP. Our business model does not rely on irritating our users with targeted advertisements, but on offering a quality email service that users are happy to pay for. 😀
Why arent people who talk about decentralization / open source / FOSS promote peertube, they still use youtube. We should ask them to upload to both as @ChrisWere does.
Let the user decide the platform to watch.
This is a really clever photography policy: badge colors indicating levels of consent #LibrePlanet
