The Virgo Month of Leisure continues with a 30th anniversary screening of the first Star Trek movie. There were only three of us in the theater. 😀

For my birthday I got to see a live performance of my favorite cult hit podcast, Welcome to Night Vale!

I’m sitting under a pavilion built out over a mountain lake while a thunderstorm rages all around us and the Cassell Family Bluegrass Trio plays over the sound of the storm (the fifth of eight bands playing today). Really a pretty awesome way to spend an afternoon.

So, so pleased with how this turned out. Can’t believe that three days ago this was a floor mat.

Certainly the most creative interpretation of “chicken and waffles” I’ve had. I wish it had been better executed.

I made a couple bottles of homemade pumpkin spice latte syrup tonight (because that’s how I basic) and it’s aces. Can’t wait to wake up in the morning and make coffee! Gonna start my Virgo Month of Leisure off right.

One last day at the lazy river. At the end of the season we’re canceling our memberships and saving up. The girls have decided (and I wholeheartedly agree) that one trip to Universal is better than an entire year at Six Flags and White Water.

Y’all. There are 92 varieties of hard cider here from all around the country, as well as ten meads and a few beers. And unlimited Dixie cup sized tastings. I might not make it out of here alive, but I’m going to die so so happy.

We open in ten minutes to a sold out audience. Still time to get tickets for the next six shows!
