Bored waiting for the keynote? Before getting filled up with all the new SwiftUI features, why not do some basic fluttering.
#Flutter for #SwiftUI developers: https://www.alwaysrightinstitute.com/flutter/
If your #SwiftUI view is simple and doesn't carry state, you don't actually have to create a View struct for them.
🏎 mod_swift 0.9.1 is out and now works properly on native M1 Homebrew installs. IMO still the best way to serve most HTTP endpoints in Swift: http://mod-swift.org
IMO things that need major fixing in #SwiftUI are:
- programmatic navigation (user activities / deep linking)
- scalable diffing, or more exactly API for avoiding diffing when it isn't necessary (append to an Array and such)
There are other open ends, but those would be my top 2.
Mastodon perk, early access to my MVC for SwiftUI blog entry (going to release it in a few hours): http://www.alwaysrightinstitute.com/viewcontroller/. Let me know what you think!
I'm pleased to note that even https://dolphin.town, my Mastodon server where the only letter you are allowed to post is "e", has seen increased activity in the last few days.
Thanks Eeeeelon!
A week ago I release CodeEditor v1.2.1. A simple, syntax coloring, TextEditor component for #SwiftUI. Got some nice contributions, including timely support for CocoaPods!
As seen in SVG Shaper for SwiftUI: https://github.com/ZeeZide/CodeEditor
#SwiftNIO 1.9.3 is out, including #Raspberry 32-bit tests (from a properly named PR: #486): https://github.com/apple/swift-nio/releases/tag/1.9.3
To celebrate 30y of IRC, I've updated the web frontend of the #SwiftNIO based MiniIRCd to TLS: https://irc.noze.io
