After far too long trying to figure out the mathematics, I realized that converting a UV to a spherical normal map was simply a matter of ... using the UV (with the Y inverted).

I wanted to have some sort of hose/mechanical tentacle legged enemy in Fist of the Forgotten. I thought I could use some splines and pass the data to a shader, but 3 doesn't have a way to pass arrays to a shader. It *does*, however, let you create a texture and set that, which is basically an array! Colors show the texture generated by interpolating on the curve in this path.

Don't be afraid of shaders in Godot! They're not scary black magic voodoo. This tutorial should help get you started with the basics.

Did twitch stop highlighting first time chatters? Had somebody who wanted me to review a "game trailer" which had some... TOS violating content in it. Fortunately, I previewed it on my other screen, but it's kind of nice to have the extra red flags if it's a new viewer. It was extra nefarious, as it started off looking like a legit crudely built game trailer. Glad I skipped around a bit.

AI makes prediction on Windows 12, and it's frighteningly plausible. Highlighted text was the prompt.

Creating a new level for Fist of the Forgotten to hopefully clarify the fact that the player needs to clear a path for the train.

Ok, who else has issues with DisplayPort and Windows considering the monitor unplugged when you turn it off (and shifting/resizing all of your windows and icons)?

This is what happens when I optimize Fist of the Forgotten for potatoes then get an RTX 3080.

Also working on a small tool to make workind on pix-tex easier in blender+aseprite. It shows UV map in the editor, and updates textures on the model in real time, without needing to export files. There's some sprite animation helpers as well.
