subdivide a plane, select points and move them up and down the Z axis. in shaders, vertex space --> vector multiply and add --> rotate --> color. cubes with emission for fog. render, color correct in GIMP! end result #blender
there are so many layers and abstractions here and this doesn't even begin to scratch the internals!
