Do you want more people to notice your posts on Mastodon and the Fediverse?
✅ Use hashtags on your public posts if you want people to find them. For privacy reasons, the only way to search on Mastodon is by hashtag, so if there are no hashtags the posts will not appear in search results.
It is totally ok to use lots of hashtags if your posts deals with lots of different topics! Don't be embarassed to have a list of hashtags at the end 😄

Check out our latest blog post, "A Year In Summary"
This month we are taking a look back at everything we have achieved since we released #glimpse 0.1.0.
That means a blow-by-blow account of which objectives we have achieved, how we have spent donated cash, and the latest download figures.
We also lay out our goals for 2021, and our plans for what happens beyond that.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us. Without you, this project would not have been possible.

Dear Mastodon community,
I joined you because I support open-web, and also because people in our #tilvids #PeerTube community wouldn't shut up about you. I now feel that the community here, and the engagements I have, are far-superior to most of what I find on Twitter. Thanks for being a good home for social media!
This is worth a read.
Relating to the article, one of my goals for tilvids.com is to build a smaller video community. People often ask me, "Are you trying to replace YouTube?" and the answer is, honestly...no. Not really. I don't think you beat YouTube by recreating YouTube, I think you beat it by building thousands of mini-YouTubes that are smaller and cater to the community. This creates a much higher level of engagement between creators and viewers alike.
