I think I have to learn react
@pfefferle mein Beileid
@dominik danke danke... aber ich habs ne ganze weile ohne geschafft ;)
@pfefferle Don't. The faceboookification of the world is bad enough. React is typescript. So learn typescript, and then adapt it. Or let others fall into the Facebook trap.
@harmonicarichard I tend to agree, but WordPress development is getting harder and harder without React knowledge
@pfefferle @harmonicarichard how reactionary
@phel "Some pun intended", I'm sure. ;-) @pfefferle
@pfefferle That's why I considered moving to @classicpress. I haven't because I think I would lose the WordPress community by making that move.
@harmonicarichard @pfefferle You can be part of both communities. Our relationship doesn't have to be exclusive Use the right tool for the right job.
@classicpress I can easily slide between wordpress, classicpress and Hugo but it takes time and the readers, and search engines, don't adapt that fast. If they did I would already be either on ClassicPress or Hugo. I find Hugo to be fast, and fun, because it's new for me.
@classicpress I switched back to ClassicPress for one simple reason. I write my posts in Markdown for Hugo, and by using ClassicPress I can use Markdown more intuitively.
@harmonicarichard That's a common use case for ClassicPress, writing in Markdown. Makes life simple.
@classicpress And it's faster than WordPress. WordPress has felt bloated for a while. Hugo and ClassicPress are good alternatives.
@classicpress @harmonicarichard You guys have Markdown option???
@berniethewordsmith @harmonicarichard It's not a built-in feature. We have a plugin that converts Markdown to HTML.

@classicpress @berniethewordsmith I was using markup markdown but I switched to the one you mentioned.
@pfefferle despite all the FB rarara - not the worst. Principles apply elsewhere too.
