After almost a year of development, I am happy to announce will be launching to the public this weekend!

Building ActivityPub applications will be much easier with FediDB.

Special thanks to @NGIZero for funding development of this project!

Every morning I check the Discover section and am blown away by how talented people are.

Seeing photos from around the world is also pretty neat!

What’s the Fediverse alternative to Goodreads again? Is there one yet?

#SocialCG meeting tomorrow, Saturday 6th at 1500 UTC.

We are focusing on DEMOS! With the theme of diverse clients and #ActivityPub generic servers.

So if you have done any work with ActivityPub C2S and you'd like to show it - even half baked - please do join. And if you want to learn more about this approach, this meeting is for you too.

I'm going to order a pound of coffee from somewhere online for the first time ever. From whom should I buy my coffee?

Announcing LearnAwesome.org - an open-source, ActivityPub-compliant alternative to GoodReads, Coursera etc.

The goal is to build humanity's universal learning map by tagging learning resources with rich metadata such as topics, format, length, cost etc. There's a companion browser extension, a mobile app and peer-groups for project-based learning, mentored by selected experts and more.

The webapp is built with Ruby, Rails and PostgreSQL. Inviting devs: github.com/learn-awesome/learn

Anyone who can get much work done with this many distractions going on is either heroic or completely insane.

Trying this projector thingy to watch movies outside again... about 10 years ago I had one of the first mini-projectors. It was so terrible that everyone in my family referred to it as "Diaper TV". I think it became e-waste after that. Now I have Diaper TV 2.0.
