I lived in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Toronto" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Toronto</span></a> for 30+ years and now <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Kingston" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Kingston</span></a> is home.</p><p>I was a club <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DJ" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DJ</span></a> and worked <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MusicRetail" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MusicRetail</span></a> for about a decade. </p><p>In 1994 I launched a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BBS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BBS</span></a> for Sony Music. We started on the web in 1995 and ran forums, newsletters, and online chats. I registered schafer.com that year and started blogging in 2000.</p><p>I worked at <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tucows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Tucows</span></a> for ten years, mostly running <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ProductManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ProductManagement</span></a>. I’m quasi-retired now.</p>
