J.A. Machete<p>Quick entry on the journal referring to the update of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ZplusAngband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ZplusAngband</span></a> I&#39;m working on, visuals feel quite the thing =] i added couple of good ideas for in-the-dungeon&#39; light source, for extra crispy flavour. And I&#39;m considering giving the radius of light one more grid unit, i need more testing to see how that goes when the RNG puts those light sources in differents rooms. <br />The monster/object/feature list has been worked on too. Baby steps forward.<br /><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/traditionalroguelikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>traditionalroguelikes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/zangband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>zangband</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ascii" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ascii</span></a></p>

Now I know what I&#39;m doing. I&#39;m updating a dead repo and bringing it back to life thanks to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/OpenSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>OpenSource</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AngbandLicense" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AngbandLicense</span></a> . Emailed the guy whom I got the clone from, to no avail. I thank him as the Enabler of this project. <br />What I have in hands is not a &quot;my own variant&quot; but an Update to a child spawned by classic <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ZAngband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ZAngband</span></a> . Now I have a clear goal in mind.<br />(1)</p>
J.A. Machete<p>My head is throbbing after so many hours going through code and file after file to understand how to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/zangband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>zangband</span></a> works. Writing down bunches of ideas and then moving them into the &quot;reforging&quot; (for lack of a better fitting word) of my clone. Several revamped visuals, couple bugs smashed, some QoL implementations done and a fair bunch of added stuff, are already fitted and being tested. <br /><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Angband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Angband</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Variant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Variant</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MachetesEdition" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MachetesEdition</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TraditionalRoguelikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TraditionalRoguelikes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>opensource</span></a></p>
J.A. Machete<p>Finally embarking on full fledge remodelation of my clone of ZAngband 0.4 by Blubaron, which I stumbled upon by chance while scourging github for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ZAngband" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ZAngband</span></a> references. I obviously won&#39;t update the version, due to my lack of coding skills, but will give it my *Machete&#39;s Edition* stamp when done. So far so good but boy, isn&#39;t it a lot of work.<br /><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Roguelikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Roguelikes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TraditionalRoguelikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TraditionalRoguelikes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ASCII" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ASCII</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Nerdgeekstuff" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Nerdgeekstuff</span></a></p>
