Robert<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://scicomm.xyz/@RAL6011" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>RAL6011</span></a></span> <br>I'm guessing zero emissions commercial flights at large scale in 10 yrs is unrealistic for a few reasons. ( I'd also question whether they were even desirable) For one, even if we made a massive push to make that happen, we'd be using resources that could be used on more urgent issues: phasing out coal, surviving extreme weather (millions are dying already in <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ClimateEvents" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateEvents</span></a>), etc etc. Most flying is frivolous compared to the issues we need to solve.<br>I wish my country had rail service.</p>
