I laughed WAY too hard over this. Good thing UX readings are considered Safe For Work here :)

I'm genuinely interested in the reasoning behind this new design trend with wire/paperclip look for monochrome icons.

Compared with icons that use filled surfaces, these ones seem to generate unneeded visual noise, just like tables that use gridlines instead of alternating colors to distinguish rows.

Any insights from designers here? #design

A pebble watchface concept I made 2 years ago. Based on a longstanding idea of mine of a digital watchface where 2 rings represent the progress of the entire day (thick ring) and day/night (thin ring). Also has appointment indicator (triangle) and moon cycles. Also some sigil-like symbols at intervals for flair. #design #watch
