Hugo van Kemenade<p>The Python version diagram has been updated to show the bugfix/security split for each release. (Before, the bars were either completely green or yellow.)</p><p><a href="https://devguide.python.org/versions/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">devguide.python.org/versions/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>It&#39;s also zoomed in and shows fewer releases than before. There&#39;s another chart further down the page showing all of 2.6 to 3.14. And the wording in the status key has been refreshed to make it clearer.</p><p>Thanks to <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://hachyderm.io/@nedbat" class="u-url mention">@<span>nedbat</span></a></span> and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@encukou" class="u-url mention">@<span>encukou</span></a></span> for updating it!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Python</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/CPython" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CPython</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/EOL" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EOL</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/devguide" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>devguide</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/docs" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>docs</span></a></p>
Mariatta 🤦🏻‍♀️ :python:<p>A small (but great) improvement to the CPython 's Devguide!!</p><p>The Quick Reference section now uses "tabs: readers can choose the command they need depends on their operating system. </p><p>We used to have these commands witten as:<br>"on macOS do this, on Windows do that" which takes up visual space.</p><p>Now they're on tabs! This feels more intuitive!</p><p>It uses sphinx-inline-tabs extension.</p><p>Contributed by Lance Goyke in <a href="https://github.com/python/devguide/pull/1205" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/python/devguide/pul</span><span class="invisible">l/1205</span></a></p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/documenation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>documenation</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/openeource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>openeource</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/devguide" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>devguide</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a></p>
