#introduction post

In English now because why not:
@rrrrroseazerty told me I have to introduce myself even though I don’t like it, so here we go!!!
You may refer to me as brzzz (also spelled brzzzzz, [[[brzzz]]] or even ]]]brzzz[[[[).
Most of the time, my toots offer a snapshot of the stupidest thoughts that came across my mind. But I might also post about my current specific interests such as:
- making noise
- riding bikes and DIYing bikes
- playing synths and #diysynth
- DIYing everything in my house
- #Possums
That’s about it.

will play with Pausa a Pausa plus Sara Neidorf 5.dec at the Cinematheke in Leipzig. we chose silent films by women (*) of different decades and we will play our own soundtrack live.

meanwhile, you can listen to our sound of previous screenings at Pausa a Pausa bandcamp.

(*) we tried explicitly to find silent films by INTA and actually the jury is still out, suggestions VERY welcome.

@lunario

today me and @lunario we doing collages as covers for our Chiseling Clouds on recycled cassettes. all are unique pieces. pm me for details or pick one up at the nest gig..

we recorded on cassetes from the 80s and 70s which were tested before and after. on some cases we left part of the original cover exposed, so tgat you know that under noise is James last or Peter mafay..

All my stuff came in so I can start building my cassetone!
I'm hitting my ceiling in understanding of electronics.
SO. I'm trying something that may not have been done yet, and need some guidance. I'm getting zero info from the official discord, or info about what I can be doing to make this work. This seems very possible.

I'll be replacing the oscillator 555s with the tape walkman, I know that the speed may be routing to the clock 555 IC, but not sure where it routs to because there is more than 1 wire. (I'm replacing a potentiometer and routing to the 555)

Any reason why I should use the diodes and resistors in this build?
Any info would be appreciated.

I'm hosting an intro to electronics of audio workshop in October in Berlin Neukölln! This time split into 3 days: Oct 19, 20 & 26. It's a lot of material!

We'll talk about gain and tone circuits: amplifiers, filters, mixers, splitters, clipping.

We'll do breadboarding, simulation, reading existing schematics. Each participant will design an effect from scratch by the end!

looking for instances for musicians and sound makers or racket makers of all types.

I prefer that there would be no distinction between professional and non professional whatever that might be, but that there would be a nice diverse and interacting population of both.

This one seems a bit bigger zirk.us/

bonus if queer or at least gender mixed (ofc beyond the binary) , or if I find the ocasional furry there.. or inclusion and diversity then, and not 80% cis-male lineups etc.

thanks for reading, have a nice day.

Opinions, the random the better, welcome.

I created a "one chip" TrebleSynth

github.com/profdc9/TrebleSynth

based on the pico. Create subtractive and FM instruments with 6 voice polyphony by connecting modules (VCO,ADSR,LFO,VCA,etc.) and controls. Supports and with built-in keyboard, expression pedals, many effects such as reverb/delay/flanger/chorus included. Cheap, commodity hardware and easy through-hole assembly.

A recent project I made is the Pico, a super cheap guitar pedal using common, cheap parts and sporting 25 effects that can be cascaded. It has a stomp pedal for changing effects, can be using to tune, acts as a MIDI device, is configurable through USB, and uses expression pedals and standard 9V power. output for visual effects is not implemented in software yet.
