Luigi.exe (Dragonheart System) :queerplural:<p>It's not just Muskrat, either. Spez also fucked <a href="https://plural.cafe/tags/Reddit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Reddit</span></a>, and dealt a massive blow to one of the most crucial repositories of information on the goddamn internet. And this sh!t happened *so* close to each other, it's not even funny. It's like the heads of these massive platforms just agreed to pull the plug because of sheer, unrelenting, inhuman greed.</p><p>I'm just watching these feeds, and mentally, it feels overwhelming, seeing so much sh!t happen in such a short span of time. The <a href="https://plural.cafe/tags/enshittification" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>enshittification</span></a> process is reaching a boiling point, and we're all here to regrettably bear witness to it.</p><p>But on the other hand, this can lead to a rise of federated platforms like <a href="https://plural.cafe/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a>, <a href="https://plural.cafe/tags/Lemmy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Lemmy</span></a>, <a href="https://plural.cafe/tags/Geddit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Geddit</span></a>, and more that are open source and a LOT harder to single-handedly kill. It's like watching some kind of social media revolution that wasn't brought on by the peasants, but rather the lords themselves, ironically.</p>
