#Paramatma, the universal soul or supreme consciousness in #Hindu #philosophy, parallels #Neoplatonism’s concept of “The One”.

In Neoplatonism, emanation from “The One” mirrors the dynamic interplay of prakāśa (#illumination) and vimarśa (#reflection) in Paramādvaita philosophy, emphasizing a cyclical process of outflow and return.

The #Nous is compared to Paramatma but aligns more closely with Hiranyagarbha in Hindu thought due to its subordinate role to the ultimate #FirstPrinciples.

I was reading about how #Stoicism was folded into #Neoplatonism by Plotinus, and how Neoplatonism was folded into #Christianity by Augustine of Hippo. Erstwhile, Paul, John, and Constantine had been adding their own stuff to Christianity. At this point, I don't know what stops anyone from positing whatever theology they want and responding to rebuttals with, "No, friend, THIS is Christianity now."

οὐδὲ ἐροῦσιν Ἰδοὺ ὧδε ἤ Ἐκεῖ· ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστιν

“nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

The Greek word “ἐντὸς” (entos) is typically understood to mean “within” or “inside,” though some translations interpret it as “in the midst of” or “among”.

The #Ineffable is in the midst of and among us.
