One thing I love doing as a designer is creating things that others can explore, talk about and that, hopefully spark ideas and questions.

Recently I've been exploring some things with @loops and @supapp and I'm pretty excited to share with the community here! Especially @dansup who's the mastermind behind these beautiful things getting started!! 👏🔥

I'm sharing cuz I'm trying to figure out how to support open source projects as a designer and this is my latest. Anyone who wants to explore (and especially dansup) check out the Figma files below. After that, let's talk about them on here, matrix, or XMPP! 🥂Thanks for being such an incredible community, looking forward to connecting more on these things!!

(I have some ideas for Pixelfed too, but I'm gonna start with these and see what happens. 🙌)

Today is one of those rare times, when I install a #Microsoft product. I just started the installation wizard of a #Windows #Server 2022. In step 3 of the installation process, I am faced with the quesiton "Upgrade, or custom install". I pick "Upgrade", and the wizard let's me know that this option is not available. Afterwards, I am sent back to step 1 of the wizard.

This UX loop can continue for hours, without ever pressing the "back" button. Why did Microsoft not implement a conditional rendering, if the installation medium is already 5 GB large?

You ever wonder how the people responsible for the software you use haven't been fired a dozen times over? Measureship is to blame. By carefully picking their metrics, managers can make the biggest, stinkiest turd look like a rose on C-suite dashboards.

Task success rate is a simple yet powerful tool for evaluating and improving user experience. It helps identify service weaknesses, track the effects of improvements, and ensure users achieve their goals smoothly. TSR supports decision-making and helps optimize user journeys, ultimately strengthening business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
