How about a medical “mysteries” show where the protagonist does consulting work (from home, obviously, since no way are they risking infection by taking public transportation where no one is masking) for healthcare teams around the world who are struggling to make a diagnosis for a sick patient. And every single time, the answer will be either acute #COVID19 or sequela of prior COVID-19.
And make the show mandatory watching for CME/CNE credit.
I am very tired of the medical establishment refusing to test for #COVID19, never considering it in the differential diagnosis, never documenting it in the past medical history, etc. A trainee recently asked me why I was bothering to ask a new patient about their COVID history and I’m like, because it can impact every organ system in their body (cardiovascular, neuro, GI, pulmonary, immune, heme, etc). Blank stare in response. What is even happening in medical education?

Levels are so high again here that my NHS surgery is offering tests, just turn up so no waiting 2 weeks for appointments. And 'Fit notes' (sick notes as was) on the spot if positive.
I still have a few tests I bought but free testing will help many households here.
@DrSarahHolstein COVID denialism is rampant within medical institutions. Many covid-aware healthcare professionals are leaving or already have left prematurely bc of this. It is really hard to practice appropriately and feel supported when looked down upon bc the rest of the institution is in covid denial. A very sad state of affairs.

At no point does an EKG measure that, and my mouth is not involved at all.
@DrSarahHolstein Sorry, I realize you're a doctor and I kind of mansplained an EKG to you. I had never had one, and didn't realize how absurd the statement was until 15 second later when it was done.
@DrSarahHolstein it is a bit like they silently did the math on Covid and realized everyone is on hospice, palliative care. Actively avoid thinking about it. That’ll just diminish the quality of life for the time we still have.

In countries that track, nosocomial Covid in hospitalized patients has a CFR of nearly 20%. They're not testing because they don't want the liability.
