@WarnerCrocker did they contract to other candy makers? Because I haven’t heard of Blommer, yet that seems a fairly large plant.
Chicago has a rich candy history I wouldn’t mind reading more about.

Chocolate world has been in turmoil for some time actually.

I once lived sort of close to a cookie factory. It made that whole neighbourhood smell amazing. I’d bet that people will miss the chocolate scent in the air in Chicago, too.
